This is my 13th year at Elwood high school as "the" art teacher. During the first two years my assignment included 1/2 day middle and 1/2 day high school. I am also teacher certified through the Industrial Education dept. at Ball State. My other duties include: yearbook, art club and academic fine arts coach. Extra art dept. activities include: Alley Cat, field trips, sidewalk chalk contest and the spring Art show. I have art students in 2d Art, Advanced 2d, Art history, Drawing, Printmaking, Ceramics, Sculpture and Painting. I enjoy making art as much as I do teaching art. My favorite work right now is in "raku" pottery. I was a visual art major in college and like oils, watercolor, colored pencil, dyeing fabric and most any process that has to do with making art. This year marks a historic first for me. I am teaching "Communication", which is an Industrial Ed. class that focuses on the Adobe suite of illustrator, In Design and Photoshop.
